Jilin Gongzhuling Biomass Generation Project

The Gongzhuling Biomass Project, Jilin, located in Gongzhuling County, Siping City, Jilin Province, is a pioneering renewable energy initiative. Constructed and operated by National Gongzhuling Bio Energy Co., Ltd., the project focuses on generating clean electricity through biomass, playing a vital role in mitigating climate change. Using rice straw, maize straw, and waste wood as fuel, the project generates 186,270MWh annually, supplying renewable energy to the Northeast China Power Grid (NECPG).

This innovative project utilizes 305,500 tonnes of biomass residues (wet basis) every year. Without this intervention, these residues would typically decay under aerobic conditions, releasing harmful emissions. By replacing electricity generated from fossil fuel power plants, the project effectively avoids significant CO2 emissions, aligning with global efforts to reduce greenhouse gases.
