The project aligns with the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India’s criteria for CDM projects, contributing to social, economic, environmental, and technological well-being:

1. Social Well-Being:

• Generates employment opportunities for skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled workers in rural Tirunelveli.
• Develops supporting infrastructure, such as road networks, improving access for local communities.
• Enhances energy security by reducing dependence on imported fossil fuels and mitigating price volatility.

2. Economic Well-Being: 

• Creates temporary and permanent job opportunities at the wind farm.
• Supplies electricity to the southern grid, improving grid stability and availability, which supports local industries, economic activities, and overall regional development.

3. Environmental Well-Being:

• Reduces GHG emissions by displacing fossil fuel-based electricity generation.
• Promotes resource conservation using renewable wind energy.

4. Technological Well-Being:

• Employs advanced wind energy technology (E-53 WTGs), contributing to the adoption of clean energy solutions in India.
